Terracuques was the word that was used to designate a piece of land or small property of little value and that was not suitable for living. The terracuques that gives its name to this route is found once you have passed Sorba, in the direction of Navès and certainly defines how hard life was in this region years ago.

Next to the Aigua d’Ora river we find the forest, the fountain and the recreational area of ​​Terracuques and that have made this road bike route generically take this title.

Description

The route begins at the car park that we will find at the entrance to Berga sud, at the end of the Passeig de la Pau, at 661 meters above sea level. We will leave in the direction of the Passeig and at the first roundabout -with the Patum emblem- we will take the Sant Fruitós road up. At the top of the street we will turn left in the direction of Valldan. After the neighborhood, we will reach the C-26 road which we will follow for 17 km. We will pass through Avià, l’Espunyola and we will reach the fork with the B-420 which we will take in the direction of Montmajor and Cardona.

A few meters further on, on the left hand side we will find the turning that enters the town. We will continue in a southerly direction on this same road for about 7 km. Next to kilometer point 7, we will leave this road to take a narrower one that goes to the right and that will take us towards the villages of Gargalllà, Vilandeny and Sorba until we reach Navès where we will connect with the C-26 which we will take to the right.

We will follow this road towards Montmajor, L’Espunyola and Avià, without leaving it any further until we return to Berga, the point where we had started this itinerary.
