Guardiola de Berguedà-Sant Julià de Cerdanyola-Falgars-La Pobla de Lillet-Guardiola de Berguedà
Climbing to the sanctuary of Falgars from Guardiola de Berguedà is one of the first challenges to be achieved by young cyclists in the region.
We have integrated this challenge into a circular route that allows us to get to know this route, the small town of Sant Julià de Cerdanyola, the charismatic sanctuary and return in a circular route along the Llobregat river.
This is the shortest route of the proposals but with a not insignificant difference in altitude, which is why it has also been included in the selection of mountain passes in the region.
Description
The route begins in the square of the church of Guardiola de Berguedà to climb the BV-4021 known as “the coast of Cerdanyola” towards Sant Julià de Cerdanyola.
Once in the village, turn left towards the Subirana pass along a paved rural road. The climb continues until you pass the pass and reach the Falgars sanctuary, the highest point of the route, which we will reach in 10 km from the start.
Once at the top, we can take the opportunity to reach the Joan Casanova viewpoint, with good views of the Lillet valley.
To return, we must undo the first 2 kilometers until a few meters before the Sobirana pass. Here, we will follow the road on the right that goes down to the B-402, crossing the Llobregat river. We follow this road down until we return to the point where we started the route: Guardiola de Berguedà.
